If You Lived Back in the 70s and Wanted to Remodel But Had Limited Funds, What Would You Choose?

Shag carpeting or wood paneling? What was a bigger must-have back then? How about a sunken living room?

Answers:
All of the above plus a wetbar, and the sunken living room is a must for authentic '70s life. It helped us to 'make a statement' when we were very drunk, by causing us to trip upon entering the room, reeling into an amusing stumble, to sometimes luckily land on the couch.

Other answers:
I'd choose a 20 year induced coma to start with, then a request to be awakened when every molecule, every memory, every consideration for SHAG,,had vanished from our soicietal mind set.

Bare concrete and wood.
Shag carpet was by far THE THING you had to have to be HIP! The coolest people even had it on the floors of their vans and vw bugs. Sunken living rooms wet bars and of course paneling were all apart of it too, but if you didn't have shag you just weren't.
