Granite tile counter top. Large or small size?

We are planning to replace our ceramic tile kitchen countertop near granite tiles before selling. The most adjectives ones are 12x12. But recently we've found out within are also 18x26 available; they call it mini slab granite. If you are a potential home buyer, would you a bit see the kitchen countertop with the12x12 or 18x26 ones? I am for a moment concerned that using the 18x26 ones would make it seem like using fragmented slab granite and thus looking somewhat cheap or odd. Our house is not fancy one but a short time ago above median price in our nouns. I need input please!

Answers:    me individually ,,,i would prefer all one piece...they can be cut to spec..someone comes contained by..makes a template of your countertop and later cuts it out custom for your sink...etc.......i hate have to clean grout lines.....
I am contained by the same situation...I have finally decided on a 12 x 12 granite tile when I found a 24 x 24 tile that I like as well. Now I'm wondering which would look better within my relatively small kitchen. Would the larger tile with smaller amount grout lines look better or would it just look wrong or weird and wonderful? (I can't afford granite slabs.) Any immediate feedback would be greatly appreciated. I necessitate to make this conclusion ASAP!
(Also, is there a approach to add pigment to the grout to take a dark black color?)
