My boyfriend is currently doing a construction job at a library where they are removing 4' x 4 1/2' and 4' x 8' double paned, insulated windows. They aren't going to be reusing them and they are going to the trash. The library is located in Thousand Oaks, California.

You might want to try posting a notice on the local craigslist.org or freecycle.org. It's amazing what people can reclaim and reuse! Whoever gets them will be delighted and you can feel proud that you kept some useful items out of the landfill.
