Can synthetic stucco be applied over a house that is already bricked?

is it against any regulations in texas?

Answers:
I can't imagine wanting to "cover" brick, but certainly it can be done.

I'd suggest a wire mesh installed, to help the stucco stay on, and fill the mortar lines better, aesthetically.

I like the SYNTH stuff, and have used the fiberglass based. It looks the same, hardens well, adheres well, lasts a decent amount of time, is easy to patch, etc.

Regulations can be determined at your local zoning/code enforcement office.
