What can I do to label our home "cozier"?
Answers: As a start...grab some magazine that focus on cozy decor...Southern Living, Cottage Living, Martha Stewart, Real Simple, etc. Go through these at your local bookstore for inspiration.
You might wish to paint diction walls of paint that are warm, earth-tone colors...brown, rust, mustard pallid, eggplant, etc.
Do you have framed, ancestral photos on display? This too will give the sense of coziness, as will inexpensive artwork of landscape/nature.
The addition of attractive bowls of potpourri and candles helps, as does color accent pillows, window treatments, throw blankets and nouns rugs under furniture arrangements surrounded by each room...dining room, kitchen "eat-in/breakfast" nouns, living room/family room, etc.
Use low wattage light bulbs to create temperature. Also, small, decorative lamp give person and create coziness too...as do books used as acccent pieces in your decor.
Again, focus on thaw out, earth-tone colors when selecting previously noted items.
