Is it possible to convert a queen bed frame to use a Cal King mattress?

We have a Queen bed frame beside wood sides and headboard and footboard and want to change to a Cal King mattress which is 12 inches wider (6 inches respectively side)and the same length as the Queen. Has anyone successfully converted a setup close to this to use a Cal King mattress?

Answers:    I actually own the same type of bed and we have considered doing the same item. You can bring pictures and dimensions for you new California king and bring them to home depot. Not simply will the be able to give support to you to figure it out....but the can probably cut the wood for you right within if you have the measurements beside you! Then the will be able to bring up to date you what hardware you will need and explain to you how to put it together. Good luck beside it!
It is according to which type of bedframe you have. I own a bedframe that converts from full all the path up. It is the first one that I have have like that. Most of the time they with the sole purpose fit one size.
