What color of sofas/sectional sofas will match a yellow wall in the living room?
Answers:
You are the one who has to live with the color choices. Here's a way to rule out regrets!
Sit down and right down three choices of things you like to do for fun, relaxation and escape.
Take each one of those choices and write down three colors that would prevail in each of them.
Now... narrow down to three colors. You can mix and match. Find something for samples of those colors. Take a sample of the paint color on your wall. That'll help in the comparison.
The final choice should make ya' wanna escape the job, run home and hide in your living room!
And having three colors takes pressure off of having to choose only one!

It really all depends on the exact yellow that is on your walls and your taste.
To make more of a statement, you should choose colors opposite on the color wheel.
The complete opposite to yellow is purple. If you don't want to go that route, you can always go with a non-yellow green or other natural colors.

I would say stick to whites, off-whites or if you want to go bold you could try navy or black. (Bring in the yellow to tie in somehow, with pillows, etc.) You have to be careful not to overwhelm to room. Pinks, oranges, and greens are out, as well as purples.
Blue!
Dark brown. TV room is a beige-yellow and we have a dark brown (capuccino) sectional that looks very nice with that color.
Since furniture is a far more expensive investment than paint, why limit yourself?
If you must however,,,,, get a color wheel, it will answser some of your wonder.
Navy goes well, Greens go well, NOTHING in reds or purples will go well. Browns and Earth tones work, but may be too boring.
No offense, but choosing a wall color first is the wrong way to go.

That said however, and after applying thousands of gallons of paint, I realize the customer is always right, even when they aren't. The good news is that paint can be painted over, in changing colors and initially percieved desires.
Golden green..........dark brown...........I have lemon yellow walls and Khaki green sofas.....that's a nice mix too.
I guess it depends on how bright the yellow is....
But, I think you would have to buy bold colors such as red, purple, dark blue..... You can even do like a black and white pattern type theme if you please. I think colors like tan or beige would be too bland with a yellow wall.
Yellow is sunshine. It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.
Well.. at any rate, the color yellow on the walls does limit the color selection for the sofa(the wall color, that is).. but you could go with a black(which is my favoite color) but I believe that that color would be too stark of a color to use against the yellow background. . a softer camel brown would go well. Also any color pallet of the browns might go well..
I keep coming back to my favorite of black but an leaning towards a ..... neutral gray and a dash of black for a high-tech look.... a greyish black.. not a stark black by itself.
what hue yellow?
i would say green to give the colors a nice contrast.
I just helped a friend with this very same problem she had the same question I recomended a dark brown couch leather because she had children ( easy to clean) and she loved it. It really depends on what colors you like and what colors you dislike. If you dislike something dont use it. If you love another color use it, its your home but dont do anything too crazy you'll tire of it quickly.
chocolate brown
i would get a border you really like and go from there to break up the yellow
A red that would complement the yellow would be beautiful. These colors would be easy to deco for all holidays also.
