Does anyone out there on planet earth know how to safely remove paint from carpet?
Answers:
Like answerer number one,,, I'm not from here. I'm just kinda visiting to partake of fast food.
You don't state the type of paint. You don't state the type of carpet. You don't state HOW MUCH paint, and you don't
mention if you've tried anything else.
"Goof Off" can certainly help, and shouldn't damage carpet fiber or color, but You may never completely remove any
staining that took place.
No offense, but as an analogy,,, Measure twice to cut once. I suggest PREP time would have been far more valuable than clean up time spent.

The only way i Know is to throw away the carpet - after you have informed your insurance company and claimed for a new one!
If it water based paint/emulsion it should come ut with just a damp cloth. if it doesnt then you best go to a cleaners shop (that suppliers cleaners with their equipment) and ask them for best thing they have. 1001 is useless so dont waste anymore time with that! See if you can hire a carpet cleaner as this will help 'suck' the paint off. Good luck!!
Turps, White Spirit or try and pick it out, otherwise - buy a new carpet.
If it's dry emulsion, I think yuou will need to remove the carpet! If it's wet, keep soaking it, then drying it, or - preferably - use a wet/dry vacuum.
If it's gloss, use polyclens, but the colour might change. Use soapy water once the paint is up, then clean water to finish.
Good lock
dude its virtually impossible. you could crumble it off! u no like it crumbles or freeze it off but i dunno if freezing works but it works with chewing gum so what the heck give it a shot :P
Try "White Spirit", which we, in the UK, call TURPS. Then use a carpet cleaning product over the top, leave overnight, then hoover and it should be gone.
In the meantime, tip: next time you paint, get a dust sheet for the carpet,
If your carpet is nylon go to your local home depot and get this stuff called goof off professional strength in the spray form or squeeze can, apply it with a toothbrush and gently scrub, paint will disappear as if it was never there. The only product I have found that cleans all is oxyclean it works great you should try it, it might help.
gas or turpentine maybe....not sure what it will do to the carpet, though. A throw rug may be in the near future for you....Good luck!
If wet pain jif/cif disolve gloss paint like powerpaint.. you still need to wash it but not once cured
if still damp soap & a little hot water to blot it up with. If it is dry it depends on how big the spot is , use a sharp knife try to scrap it off , then you have any left over carpet just cut the backing off & glue down the top of it . No one will ever Know.
haha, Sallie!
Nah seriously, you should seek advice from a carpet salesman or a floor carpet cleaner.
white spirit if not water based
- damp cloth if is
Have you tried a blow torch? (only joking!)
Other than that, you need a solvent, but this will undoubtedly wreck your carpet.
I think you will find that, if you have a half-decent policy, your household insurance will cover you for replacement.
No matter if you get it out it will not be the same you mite waste your carpet trying things out Claim From Insurers as it was an accident
If the paint is still wet or almost new a professional cleaner may be able to remove. If its over 3 day old and dried it will not. Sound like you have tried a few items that may have prevent it from ever coming out. Call your insurance company.
I wonder if paint brush cleaner would help, followed by cold water.?
Could also try the canned foam upholstry cleaner .... the sort you clean car seats with ?
Try Acetone. I have actually remove paint stains with this. Very cos tic. Use very quickly. I brushed it in with a toothbrush. The stain was gone but the acetone melted the bristles on the brush.
