I am running 50' of LED lights on the outside edge of my garage door frame. I will own approximately 9' left over. I envision making a 5 point star surrounded by the center of the run to use up that 9', but can't figure out the correct proportions for respectively branch of the star. If 9' isn't enough to engineer a decent sized star, I am instigate to suggestions on what to do with that extra footage instead of hiding it within an empty planter.
Answers: 9 foot X 12 inches = 108 inches
The star will have 5 points
108 divided by 5 legs of the star = 21.6 inches (rounded to 20")
Each leg of the star should be 20 inches
Start next to a piece of plywood 20" x 20", place 5 nails surrounded by proper proportion 20" apart and wrap the lights around the nails (could use bread ties to hold tightly lights to nails) and hang up on garage.
