Ugly tile contained by bathroom....sustain?
My husband and I recently bought a home and the bathroom is surrounded by need of some work. The tile comes from the shower stall adjectives the way around the entire bathroom, roughly 3 foot feet up from the ground.
We don't want to own to rip out all of the walls and replace them (we'd go off the shower stall tile as-is) , but want to cover up the tile or remove it with a crow stick and put white wood paneling in it's place or over top of the existing tile.
Do you conjecture this will work? I've never used wood paneling before, but am thinking it will be a great deal less work to any just cover the existing tile next to it, or chip the tile off near a crow bar and cover the once-tiled portion beside it. We'd use chair molding to finish the top and bottom of the paneling. Also, we'd most imagined need to use stool molding to finish the sides where the wall tile meet the shower stall tile. Do you think covering the existing tile or chipping it rotten would be easier?
Thanks in credit for your help!
Answers: I would remove the tile later put up the paneling. You don't need something as large duty as a crow bar. You can use a smaller pry lump, or just a sledge hammer, if you don't care nearly saving the tile.
One problem next to wood is that it may swell up with the humidity, you should contribute it time to acclimatise before fixing.
