How can I cover 1970's Herman Miller fiberglass dining chairs without painting them?

I'm a college student living in an apartment that came with a set of the aforementiond chairs. The problem with them is that they are HIDEOUSLY yellow. My landlord says that we aren't allowed to paint them because they are fiberglass and they will chip away quickly and look even worse than they do now (if that's even possible).

Anything we do to the chairs must be reversible. Is there any kind of special fabric we could put on them, or does anyone have any other ideas? They are also sort of oddly shaped.
