Any cool ideas for my new room with striped carpet?

I love bold colors, and I'm getting new striped carpet with blue, purple, green, pink, and white. I need help on what kind of color to paint my wall, and I have no decorating sense whatsoever. Also, what kind of comforter for my bed. I was thinking a bold red. My bed frame itself is a dark blue, but I can paint it if I must. Also, I need ideas on what color for my curtians.

If you have any reall funky ideas, tell me! I'm open to anything. I painted my current room and it just turned out bad.

I'd say paint the walls your favourite colour out of the colours in your carpet. Bring a sample of that carpet to your paint store and they can match it almost perfectly. Then try to find fabrics that also match the carpet - you should just stick with white however - it'll bring a little bit of simplicity to the boldness of the carpet and walls. Just try and keep it flowing, make things go together. You don't want an aclectic room that looks like barf.

If you like to take risks and enjoy color, I'd suggest maybe going with a yellow wall with varying sizes of orange and red spheres painted on. This would make the cool carpet stand out yet the walls would be their own unique piece of art. I like you're idea of a red comforter plus it would coordinate with the walls! Maybe go with green curtains to pick up the green in the carpet.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure it'll be funky! :-)
