What is the best way to get wrinkles out of a new 27 ft. plastic runner that is over carpet in a hallway?
Answers:
Blow dryer. I use it on a low setting after I wash my shower curtain to get out the wrinkles, so it should work on a plastic runner. I do pull a bit as I heat an area to get the wrinkle line out.

What's a runner? I've done 14 years in carpentry, I've worked 6months in a carpet store and I've laid some carpet; enough to do it for my own home, but runner must be a coloquial term as I've not heard of it.

iron it on very very low low heat for like 5 sec or may be put it in water idk
put it out in the sun & have two large people pull on it after it's hot
You can put a towel folded over the wrinkled area and use an iron on med high...no steam heat. Moving the iron back and forth slowly and making sure it stays on the towel. ; )
just lay it out in the sun for a while, the wrinkles will come out.
Throw it away it causes more wear to the carpet than just walking in the hall will do without the runner. It's ugly too. Just wash the carpet every 6 months. Besides you'll have a runway effect if you ever pick up the runner, ground in dirt on both sides of the runner. Not to mention how dull it gets from walking on it. Yuch, never put that in my house.
