Mirrors that make apartment look bigger-how do I cover them up?
Answers:
Yep! Drap em' I've done this for several clients and we kept the draperies both opaque as well as transparent. Both worked well. I've also used standing, dressing screens and potted plants to break the harshness of a mirrored wall/room to good effect.
Other answers:
If allowed by your rental agreement you could put up brackets or corbels to hold a drapery rod and cover the mirrors with curtains or perhaps a sari or other decorative fabric. I've also used lattice panels with silk greenery to disguise areas in rentals.

I saw this on one of those home improvement shows, they painted them!
material covering is an option, as well as a screen or matchstick blinds hung over them. I've used blinds to cover a cosmetically challenged wall - fast and CHEAP
I agree, cover it with fabric.
If you don't want to drape your fabric, consider using it like wallpaper. Adhere it to the wall with liquid starch.
you should try stenciling with paint. for example red lace stencil or blue whatever other kind of stencils they might have in a hardware store.
