Help please ! Before I return furniture...?
Answers:
definitely play it up with accent colors. an area rug would be great, it sounds like a nice deep red would make a good complimentary color, so choose one with this in it. also get plenty of pillow for the couch in another color, as well as drapery that play off the accent color.

If you like the colors this is absolutely not a problem.
Change the couch for color only if you want someother color.
Modern living does not go anymore by certain fixed shades.
The most important thing is if like it stays - ITS YOUR HOME.
Get some area rugs.
I would say a rug would help, as would colorful throw pillows on put on the couch to bring in other colors of your room that you want to meld together. Rugs and throw pillows can make a whole room come together right.
i think it will go fine with a coffee table that is a shade lighter and a good rug that has a pattern of all the colors in the room...the rug will distract the continuance of the colors of the furniture and wooden floor...maybe some accents on the table would help as would some nice lamps on some side tables with pretty shades that will also bring it all together...
To break up the color scheme add a rug to the floor in a contrasting color and also add throw pillows to the couch and loveseat that match the colors in the rug. I worked in a furniture store for the last 4 years and this is what the designers do to break up color barriers. They would charge you out the *ss for this advice!!!
Good Luck!!
Not sure what the problem is. It sounds as if the color of the wall and the furniture would compliment each other. Are you afraid the furniture is going to seem to blend into the floors? If this is the case, then yes, an area or accent rug that picks up the color of the wall and provides contrast will help separate the furniture from the floor, and pull the room together. Add a few accents that also pick up the wall color - pillows, throws, objet d'art, etc. If the wall is the problem, an easy fix is sponge painting with one or two colors that are complimentary in tone to the furnishings for some other important accent color. Using sea sponges, it takes very little paint and very little time (and almost no mess) to sponge a coating of color or two -- as intense or light as you want -- to give your wall depth, texture, and interest. Use one or two tones that are in the tonal range of the sofa, or a color that matches in range and one that compliments it, such as a mossy green...or a variety of other expressions (experiment with some inexpensive acrylic paints first).
Area rug is the answer. Throw pillows that take in the wall color too. Also, some silk flowers with all the colors of the room is a good idea too.
i think that it sounds cool. go with it. and its your room! do what u want and go with the flow. if u want then add something like a dark coffe table or a rug.
First of all, you probably shouldn't have picked furniture to match you paint. Paint is so inexpensive and can be changed very easily. If this is the case and you think your furniture blends into the wall, I would repaint the walls.
As for the floor, I would definitely do a rug--just because it will make the room more cozy!
The rug will help only if you plan to throw it over the furniture
check out qvc.com they have area rugs called royal pallace. They have lots of colors that will tie the colors together
Consider adding a throw over the new furniture, rug, tapestry and/or framed poster of a famous reproduction containing these colors.
