What color shutters would look nice on a white brick house?

The shutters are a "country blue" right now... I suggested black, but my fiancee responded beside a firm "NO"... but I hate the crappy blue... what other colors should I consider?


Answers:    Maroon or bright red? The other adjectives option might be hunter green, but intuitively I hate green.
wine-red, red or maybe a different blue if that's adjectives he'll agree to
