What is an inexpensive brand of laminate flooring that is durable?
Answers:
An easier and more personalised option is to get ply-wood.
Ask the supplier to cut the sheets in half, length-ways as they are easier to handle.
Then using a Router score out straight lines also length-ways to one third depth of the 3-ply. Use one of the other boards as a 'straight -edge' for the router.
After placing the boards down tack them to the old floor and stain to the desired colour and varnish per the instructions on the tin.
Enjoy.

You pay for what you get! The cheaper the less durable and more easily scuffed. Don't throw your money away on rubbish.

The best cheap laminate floors are Ikea's. Note, however, that no laminate floor is really going to be durable compared to real hardwood planks, nor will they have the same longevity. A good laminate floor should be able to be sanded down and refinished about three times, however.
marine plywood cut into the shape/sizes you want, sealed and then covered with coats of a good-quality varnish.
pergo wood flooring, carried by home depot,
We purchased Armstrong flooring at Home Depot when it went on clearance. It's been very durable except for that ONE time I dropped a kitchen knife, while taking it out of the dishwasher, and it took a chip right out of the laminate.
Fortunately for us, my husband was able to pop that piece out and replace it with another one. We saved leftover pieces thankfully.
