What is the best floor for a underground store kitchen?

We want to make one nouns in our vault into a kitchen. Our basement have a cement floor. We have newly had the underground room waterproofed as we used to get greatly of water. So we definitly don't want to put down wood or wood subflooring which would warp and mold. If we epoxy resin vinyl to the concrete it will be freezing to step on in the winter, but really don't want to acquire heated floors. Carpet won't work in a kitchen. Does that walk out any options?

Answers:    I would suggest putting down a branch of insulation on the floor first, then a subfloor no issue what type of flooring you decide on. This will be beneficial contained by 2 ways, first it will keep your foot warm and second it will feat as a moisture barrier. If you also insulate and put a mist barrier on your walls, afterwards with the waterproofing you hold already done and the new insulation afterwards you can put down any type of flooring you want and not have to verbs about warp and mold.

When deciding what type of flooring ask yourself a few question like are you going to keep busy in it or is it freshly a work kitchen, what type of cupboards and counter tops are you going to have? You don't want a cheap flooring if you are going expensive on the cupboards and counter top, alike holds true the opposite, you don't want some expensive tile floor if you are freshly going basic on the cupboards and counter top.

Plan what you budget is and next design around that. Check out to see what stores are having clearance sale and you could get some really nice stuff that will still fit surrounded by your budget.
Tile is probably teh best for your application.

it lasts longer than vynil... looks better... and is unafected by moisture and heat (to a certain degree)

even if you procure more water contained by your basement the tile will be fine.

tile doesnt gain water underneth it... you grout it and put a sealer over it!

but you can put a rug over the runner. their much easier to clean ar replace if they capture dirty or wet... and i guess rugs over tile looks very suitable.

as far as it being cold.. if you dont want to steam the floors or put a rug down then youl only just have to live near a little cold.
I've see on some home improvements shows where they own actually taken the concrete and sand it smooth and then stained it. There must be some style of special concrete stain, but I haven't investigated it that far. I have see it where it almost looks resembling saddle leather and it is beautiful. You might try looking on the HGTV website or a DIY website and see if anyone can if you instructions on staining a concrete floor. We hold painted our concrete floors, but I think staining is so much prettier.
