I agree that there are many colors that would go with either pink. Is the color in question wall color, curtains, bedding? You don't want to put too much of one color in here, nor do you want to put too many colors. Just guessing from the products I've seen my neices purchase for their daughters, I'm thinking the bedding is a print. If so, the walls are probably going to be in the princess pink. I would either go with the blue from the princess print or the apple green color for the rug and a FEW room accessories. You want to bablance your color without creating too much clutter. The space in a small girl's room must be reserved for all those special decorative touches she finds on her own (and believe me she will!). LOL

Try some type of pastel color of pink mixed witha lavender color..or if that doesn't work try some neutral colors like tans or cream colors ok..or maybe even look at some dark reds.
I suggest a pale yellow area rug, perhaps a shag to bring in lots of texture and allow the eye to focus on a less brigh color.
Be careful how much hot pink you use bright colors can make the kids more active.

I would try Lilac or Lavender or a pale yellow - stay away from more pink or you'll have the room looking a bit like a bottle of Pepto-Bismal got tipped over in there !! Ha Ha
