I have an old Barwick grandfather clock. It is one of the Barwick Signature Series Clocks, signed by the maker- Howard Miller. It is # A0604. Purchased 10/19/1970.
The model # is 4878, and it has weight driven movement.
It works perfectly, and I am trying to get it valued, as I have to ship it, and need to get insurance to cover the value.
I cannot find ANY information.
Anyone have any ideas??
I do not want to pay a bunch of money to an appraiser.
Answers:
Your local library will have, or can get, books about clock collecting. There are many that include price guides. You can also check out antiques magazines and papers (your library may have these also, and/or you can find them online) they run articles on various clocks/clockmakers from time to time.
