All of these suggestions may work, depending on the hardness of the tile. There are some floor tiles that are a very hard porcelin that would take forever to cut with a rod saw and never with a dremel attachment. Those are more useful for a softer bodied tile such as you would likely use on the walls of a shower.

The following is what I do:

Use a standard tile wet saw. You can buy one for $900, rent one for $90, or usually tile stores have one in the back they will let you use to make your own cuts for free (or charge you like a dollar a cut. Mark your shape on the tile with an indelible marker. Then, cut the straight lines into the tile. Continue cutting about 1/8th inch lines, into the shape you want to remove, finishing at each part of the curve. After you have cut all these you will have a comb-like pattern of cuts . Simply snap them off and you have your cut pattern. You will have to use the saw to further trim the ragged edges of that curve, but I have done it hundreds of times, and it works.

There is a specialty tool that has a diamond blade that is made in the shape of a large ring. It functions like a band saw when cutting tile. Check with local tile stores for someone who does specialty work such as bullnosing and re-glazing. If anyone is going to have one you can pay to cut this for you it will be them.

There is another specialty tool that would have to be located wherin they use very very high velocity water jets to cut through tile and stone. Again, tile suppliers will be a source for who does that sort of thing in your area.

Try a water saw
You can rent tools that cut tile from United Rents and try Home Depot too.
I suggest you to go to a DIY or BRICO store and find a tool wich will definitelly help you.
