Leather furniture next to pets and kids?
Anyone had any experience beside leather furniture with kids and dogs?
Answers: In my enthusiasm time I've had around 7 living room sets. All be destroyed or looked like s..t within no time due to kids. I decided to buy a leather sofa and leather love form. I love it. I have have it for 4 years so far, a hell of alot longer that my other ones lasted and it still looks great. If within is a spill, I just clear up it with rather soap and water and dry it thouriughly and its fine. I would never carry a furniture made out of materail again. I say, shift for it. ANd as far as a dog....my daughter bought a leather one and its the only piece of furniture that the dog doesn't WANT to lie back on.
I think it will be fine as long as your dog does not chew on the furniture. Leather wipe up pretty easily. Unless it is sueade and specifically a different story.
I had a stool and pets, the scratches and the holes be terrible ,I have to trow the chair away. Kids are okay because you can wipe the leather down but no pets please!
Well I hold always grown up contained by a system where the dogs are disallowed up on the couches. Should this be the case afterwards you have nil to worry give or take a few. The kids are another story. I have hear of families that own had leather couches and their kids know what their boundaries were as far as the couch. If you do own dogs that will jump on the couch later I say theres no route the leather will hold up. Remember, with leather, the smallest little rip or crack is magnified. Also, if your kids are too small to know how to respect the couch then specifically also a bad point and I would not recommend the couch
As long as it's not cream! We spent lb2900 on a cream leather seat and it be wrecked within 2 mths, the dye from peoples jeans rubbed contained by to the cracks and there be no way of shifting it!
It should be fine beside kids as long as you keep the feel pens and contained by fact any pen away from them!
As for the dogs, our dog used to sneak up on to the sofa and she ripped a gash in one of the cushions near her claws, and she took loads of scrapes of the leather!

my family have had leather furniture since i be about 6 yrs. ripened. the actual material have stood up well and is competent to be wiped verbs for the most part, but the seam have be ripping where the nouns meets the top of the sofa for some time.
i enjoy had leather furniture for years and i importantly recommended it with pets and children.
in reality....i will never go stern to fabric furniture again

I have have leather furniture for about ten years, also have two labs in the house. One of the reason I got it be the ease within cleaning pet hair. I hold a 7 year old barcolounger that they newly replaced all the machanisms within, good warranty.
i would not allow the dog on the sofa...you don't mention the size of the dog but dog nail are hard on leather sofas and vehicle interiors.
