Should I paint my rental apartment?

We have established to move into an apartment. They are brand new apartments and I would approaching to paint but I don't know if I should. I have asked if it would be ok and they said sure as long as I paint it backbone white when I leave. I be asking one of my co workers was it strong to paint and they said that I shouldn't waste my time since I didn't own it. What do you feel?

Answers:    WIth a new apartment you will never capture cost-sharing from the landlord so you own the whole expense of the paint opening. If you will be there for a while and really other wanted a specific wall color afterwards do it. You can buy paint on sale at off-price stores and go and get a bunch of friends to pitch in for a pizza party/painting hours of daylight.
