What does it mean to have a red front door on your house?
Answers:
Question:
Should my front door be red?
Answer:
That depends upon the relationship you have with your neighbors and with the Gua or area of the Ba-gua. The Gua is both the particular area of the Ba-gua where the door is located, and the symbol and symbolic meaning of that area, or Gua.
Red is an enlivening energy. It is also used to protect. Chinese brides wear it on their wedding day. It is the color of Red Envelopes. In some situations red can also be overpowering. When blood runs -- it is also red. Fresh blood is a bright red. Dried blood is less intense.
Look at the information about the Creative Cycle and the Regenerative Cycle, pages 30-32 of the book, as well as the Five Elements, pages 28-30, then consider what cycle you have in your own space, and at the front of your home.
Then consider the cycles of your neighbor's buildings, those across the street as well as on each side of your home. An answer to your question may then emerge.
Are the cycles in harmony? Is the neighborhood experiencing harmony? Would having a red door for your space, contribute to more harmony for the entire neighborhood?
What is your intention in relation to your own life and your relationship with your neighbors? Is harmony your goal?
What about your intention for a cycle that supports abundance -- for you? Does it also include abundance for your neighborhood? Or the larger community?
Now remember, that "should" leads to the River of Shame. The River of Gold is empowering and offers the opportunity of connecting with the ocean of openhearted abundance -- for all who choose to navigate it's currents.
And, if there seem to be too many currents of information to consider, then please consult with an expert in the ancient art of strategic placement.
