If you don't like your linoliumin your kichen, but you rent, what can you do?

If you've got a bit of play in you, check out baby store for those rubber squares that link together. They come in different motiffs.
You might find one that suits, and think of the glasses you'll save because they don't break when you drop them.
Also try Home Depot they have lots of new laminate products that may serve and maybe won't affect the lino underneath.

Ask your landlord if you two can agree on changing it. You would have to absorb the cost though.
You can still use a large rug or an assortment of small ones in the kitchen. Just make sure they are washable, because they'll be getting a lot of traffic and probably will have food dropped on them from time to time.
You could always get the landlords permission to change the linoleum but that would probably come out of your pocket. Other than that not a whole lot unless you used rugs in your kitchen too.
You can ask your Landlord to replace it but usually when you rent you have to do it yourself. All I can say is save up and replace it.
Rip up the linolium, put down maybe tile or hardwood floor. When you get ready to move, take it up and replace the linolium. Not a conservative answer by far, but thats all I gots :-)

It is easy to clean and you can buy that in different sizes. When your lease is up, you can bring that with you and use it in your next residence.
There are polypropylene rugs that are made of heat set fibers and would be perfect for a kitchen area. If your local stores don't have anything suitable, try ebay or larger stores with online ordering - just keep an eye on the shipping prices tho!
Well if you have the $$$$ ask your landlord if you can redo it. A couple of years ago, my landlord re-tiled my kitchen floor (which was small) with those stick on tiles. You just pull the paper off the sticky side and lay over the old linoleum. It's very inexpensive. The floor must be very very clean though especially around the stove and fridge areas. Otherwise they keep coming off.
See if you can make a deal with ur landlord to have it replaced. Taking the cost off ur rent. Be prepared to have a proper receipt.
Not much you can do except to cover it with a large area rug that has short pile and is easy to clean.
you could buy that lino that comes in a roll and lay it over the ugly stuff tac it down at the corners or something.
or you could up down cheap area rugs that you can wash. IKEA has some that are just cotton weave things. had them in my last ugly kitchen.
buy some of that laminate floor that snaps together and lays right on top of the old floor. when you move you take it with you.
