Is it possible to make a bathroom sink with tiles ?

Answers:
Yes - as others have said use small tiles to follow the contours of the sink (unless it's going to be a regular rectangle). I'd suggest getting the adhesive and grout from a pool suppliers as these are designed to be immersed in water.

never tried it myself, but give it a try and be the first!

i dont think so
yeah i used to have one
yes you just have to get a good sealer
Yes, I recessed a sink and then tiled up to the edge is that is what you mean. If you are talking about actually making a sink with tiles I haven't tried that.
If you fill a bathroom with enough tiles, and the ground beneath it is soft enough... yes, it will sink.
Sure, but every grout line is a leak waiting to happen.
yes i think it is possible
Yes but it will look like a trough or a Belfast sink, Yuck!
Of course. You need a concrete form or something else to put the tiles on though. I imagine you could take an old sink and then just cover it in tiles, as long as adhesive sticks to whatever material your putting the tiles onto.
you know the small tiles they have(( you can get them in different colors and in glass too))that can be glued onto a sink...that is a great idea, i love the whole modern art theme of life...wow I'm excited for you
It'd be a lot of work but yes. You'd need to make sure it is the correct size to fit the drain and cabinet. You will also have to make some sort of backing to adhere to tiles to. Since to sink will be in water all the time, you'll need to use special waterproof adhesive and grout so it won't fall apart over time.
I'm sure this is paraphrasing an existing quote, but, "All things are possible under Heaven ,and yada yada yada."

My question is "WHY?"

Find a decent sink, in a patterned look even, spend the money for better than white. Install or have it installed and tile the surface around it.

I'll assume you want a rustic, old time, perhaps natural look? Sinks are fired porceilin. Tile is fired and usually glazed as well. Mortar and grout are porous to some degree. Sealing tile can be accomplished, as in a shower stall, but again, it's not meant for a lifetime.

Beyond that the tile would have to be very small or the sink bowl very large to allow for any contours and smoothness in the final result.
