stiffen fabric to make blinds?

i am making rooler blinds but need to stiffen the fabric first.will starch be good enough or should i use something else?

Answers:
PVA adhesives [white wood glues].Just dilute it with water at the rate of about a cup full of adhesive to a small bucket of water. Some roller blind companies sell specialist bottles of roller blind stiffener, but I can assure you it's the same stuff except much more expensive.

Other answers:
If you use a liquid starch it should be fine. Something less messy though would be to go to the fabric store and buy iron on interfacing. Just iron it on to the wrong side of the fabric and your ready to make the blind, no mess, no fuss. It isn't too expensive either.

Lots and lots of spray on strarch or a spray on lacquer.
