what's the best way to get latex paint off of hardwood floors?

Answers:
Depending on the age of the paint and the finish on the floors, we've had good luck with either Goo Gone or Goof Off.

Just make sure to test it in an inconspicuous spot first, in case it's going to leave a stain.

Hot damp/wet rag laid over paint for a bit then wipe. You may have to do it a few times depending how long the paint has been there. Rag should be more than damp but not dripping, and microwave works well to keep it hot.

Goof off works great, i've used it, had an oops.....
If the paint is hard and dry try scrapping it off with a old credit card, soften paint drips with warm soapy water first. Scrap at a 45% angle for best results. Clean up louse bits with a cloth and soapy water. I am not saying it will be easy but it will definitely be safer then scrapping with anything metal. The plastic of the credit card will not cut into or scrap off the finish on the hardwood.
I've had NO luck with Goo Gone on a tile floor.......Goof Off works BUT you really need to test it to make sure it won't take off the finish on the wood floor.
wd40.man where would i be without it?spary it on leave it for a few and it should just peel right up.its also a good floor polish thats not slippery.
