Has anyone ever installed an under-deck ceiling?

It is very easy....Use a meatal roof system panels...you have to use furring ....First the furring at the house is 3/4 inch then as you work your way out you increase the thickness of the furring...All you need is to have a 10 degree angle so the water runs away from the house....If you need anymore questions you can email me at wood42ras@yahoo.com

never installed it... but they make a plastic for roofing sheds and the like. i think it comes in 4'x8' sheets. they also have special mounts for the plastic looks like waves, that match the waves of the plastic. depending on the size of your deck shouldnt be a hard project at all. be sure to use a good silicon sealer where the screws, or nails you use go through the plastic into the deck joists.

I've been considering doing this too, although I'd like to enclose the entire under porch area and make a storage room. The simplest idea I've come up with is to use corrugated metal roofing and attach it at a slight angle so water will run to the outside. If you put sealant between panels (like a clear caulk) it should keep water out.
Corrugated metal panels are 2 ft. wide by 8 or 12 ft. long. They even sell support strips that fit into each bump of the corrugation to support it.
You probably need to caulk each screw hole too. (again, use clear so you won't notice the caulk).
