What wattage frothy bulb should I win for my desk oil lamp?

I want an appropriate amount of light for doing work at my desk, and don't want it to be too too bright or too too dim.

i would get a hundred watt bulb so you can see your unibrow and pluck it.
all right it depends on the general room lighting
if within is say one 60 watt fixter for common lighting than i would recommend the same wattage desk hurricane lantern. in other words game the rooms general lighting and you should be fine .but if explicitly too bright than go next to a 40 watt bulb.
