I am having an argument with my husband, help me!How do you measure a television screen to get the inches.?
Answers:
GET THE LONGEST measuring tape you can find, wrap it AROUND the entite TV at the thickest point. Then take that number, divide it into 124.573, take THAT sum and multiply it with the square root, subtract it by 76, if you get an odd number, add 3, if you get an even number, subtract 12.
************************ OR ***************************
You can measure it diagonally from corner to corner.
PS_ PLEASE!, I just GOTTA know, did YOU win, or did HE?????

you measure diagonally across the screen. That's because the average tv screen is concave and not flat. The practice of measuring a cathode ray tube screen diagonally is also used to measure the screen size of computer displays.
