How do I procure latex paint to stick on grease paint?

I'm painting the walls surrounded by my house and apparently the previous owner used oil base paint. Besides sanding (which I'm not crazy in the order of doing because it makes the wall rough) is in that anyway to make the latex stick better? Thanks!

Answers:    You can use one coat of Kilz primer. PITA, but easier than sand. Without the primer, even though it appears to be sticking now, it will not fit tightly very in good health over time and will "roll" off of the wall everytime it is bumped or scratched.
You requirement to put a primer on first. Yes, it's a lot more work, but better than sand.
You need to catch a primer to paint on the wall on top of the oil-based paint explicitly made for this very situation. It does penny-pinching one more coat of paint but I'm sure you will be fundamentally happy next to the results!
