Curtains or Blinds, which do you prefer?
Answers:
Curtains. They're more flexible as a decorating element. I'm also into valances. I prefer valance/curtain combinations as a way to add detail to the wasted space above a window, and to give the illusion of height to a room. I find that verticly striped curtains add to the illusion.
Blinds always make a room seem unfinished to me and, on a wide window, makes the room actually appear smaller.

u have more flexibility with curtains as with the colors, fabrics, way of arranging. blinds trap dirt easily
Too many variables...depends on the window, depends on the decor and whatever your personal preference is.
Try both. Blinds with sheer or white lacy curtains.
I work mid-nights so I want something that will block the sun 100% in my room I have both in the front room I have wooden blinds and kitchen I have curtains. I like curtains that can be taken down and thrown in the wash. Blinds are a pain to clean.

and also helps keep the heat out in the summer
curtains
Depends on the styling of the room and the type of window.
Blinds work better in an office, bathroom and kitchen, but can look stylish in modern flats. Curtains create a warmer more cozy atmosphere, especially if used with pelmets to finish them.
curtains....the possibilities are unlimited of what fabrics, styles, lengths, tie backs etc... that you can use
It depends on the room. In the bathroom, blinds. In the living room, curtains. But don't overdo it on the curtains and get lots of ruffles or something that will be quickly outdated.
depends on the look you're after. Sometimes blinds look better with side drapes to soften the look. In very modern interiors, just blinds.
