It was at lowes and the lady said it was wet and apply, but that it would not stick on wood paneling. In a moblile home. And it would not stick on wood that had the old wall paper removed. She did not sound sure of herself. It was only $11.95 a roll or so. Any experienct with anything like this? Dip in water and apply? Rolls like contact paper but thicker. Could be painted over the rough finish like stucco walls

If you look in the paint department, you will find a primer made by Kilz, Kilz makes several products so look for one that is a primer for wallcoverings. I think a sizing will not be as good as a primer/sealer in your case. I think once you have the primer on the walls you can hang the paper you love with no problem.

i would definitely use a a primer or sizing as it is called for wall paper. proper preparation of the wall is important before applying wall paper... as long as you clean it well size it and then wall paper you can do almost any surface...
