Where is the best place to hang a wind chime?

Right outside your bedroom wndow. When the window is open this summer, hopefully you have a insect screen, and the wind blows softly you will rest so much more soundly. You can even hang them outside the sliding glass door or window in the family or living rom area. Where its faint tinkling will relax your nerves. Tinkle away!

It depends on if you have neighbors and will they enjoy the sound? We have several hanging on our back porch where they will get a breeze, but not strong winds. Right now, all of our neighbors love them. In the past they have been a problem. We leave ribbon tied to each so if somebody doesn't want to hear them they can tie them up and release the ribbon after they are ready to hear them again.
i have windchimes inside the house and on the front and back decks so i can hear them whenever the wind blows. we live in arkansas where it can turn off into tornado whether without alot of notice so the chimes are both for pleasure and for a warning system
