What is the difference silver inlaided, silver overlaid. plated and Sterling silver?

Answers:
Well, honestly, I can't remember the difference between inlaid and overlaid, however the difference between plated and sterling is this. Plated is whatever metal, if jewelry then usually nickel, is covered with liquid silver or gold. Which if you have a metal allergy like many people do, do not get silver or gold plated jewelry, the plating wears off like paint. Sterling silver means it is pure silver all the way through. I am sorry that I can't remember the difference between inlaid and overlaid. However knowing the difference between plated and sterling should help you out some.
