How can I motivate myself to clean the house?
Answers:
Put on some music you really, really like and sing along as you clean. It will make the job go faster.
Other answers:
Start small with something you love. For me, it's my entertainment system. I take pride in it.
Next, take a nap. If you're tired, rest.
Then move on to bigger goals. Ultimately, you will be able to take pride in a well organized, clean house.

I recently started going to the gym everyday and it's really helping me get some energy back, I clean my house and then reward myself with either an alcoholic beverage or a bowl of fat free/sugarfree jello pudding! It's been working for me so far. Most of the mess is from my kids but thats not going to change for another 12-18 years lol!
first off get some sleep or whatever do get your energy and start with the least problematic area once you've cleaned it, just think about how great the rest of your house will look and voila theres your motivation, dont be intimitaded at all just take your time and little by little you'll get it done..or i can come over cause i love cleaning and im a neat freak. ill clean your whole house for $200 bucks, deal or no deal? hahaha
Get up off your butt to start with. Then take it one room at a time.what else can you do, right?!

I make housecleaning my workout time. I make my list of things that have to be done and then I set my timer for 30 min or more, turn on some music and get busy. See how fast and how much you can get done in your allowed time. You will be surprised how much of a work out you can get.
Crank up the stereo with your favorite music, clean one room at a time (so as not to go back and forth) and have fun with it.. you can even dance while you do it (good form of excercise!)
Try doing it naked!
write yourself a cleaning schedule w/ just a couple things a day on it. Very easy to follow. Make it your goal to abide by it all week. If completed, treat yourself to something. There isn't anything wrong w/ celebrating a job well done!
