Is it a requirement to have more than 1 door in your house that can get you outside?

Answers:
Yes. But your house must have been grandfathered in to the regulations cause they are not supposed to be that close together. If you want to remodel anyway, have a contractor put a door in elsewhere and take that one out.

Yes. Fire regulations, not to mention just good-old common sense.

YES.its really important when it comes to emergencies.you'll have the option to go through another door.No technical person in building will advise you to have only one door.i remember my school classrooms had one doors and my technical skills teacher asked the authorities to add one more door in each class to aid students from escaping in cases of emergencies
Yes, it is mandatory to hav more than one door in any house.Since it is a matter of safety during fire hazard . And also for better ventilation purpose. If ur house consists of only one room then u need not hav more than 1 door but for better ventilation u can hav as many windows as u can/wish/require.
It may be different in each state you should be able to find out about building codes for your area. I would suggest keeping both doors for safty sake.
