what is a good color for a bathroom?

Answers:
If the bathroom is a guest bathroom or a bathroom shared by both sexes, than you might want to steer away from the usual "girlie" colors. If the bathroom is small, than you don't want the colors to be too dark. You can use darker colors if you use them more as the accents rather than the main color. Even in a larger bathroom the dark colors can tend to make the room appear smaller, so it is better to use light walls, flooring, and cabinets. Most lighter colors are good for bathrooms. White is okay, but it tends to give more of a hospital atmosphere if there is too much white in the room.

Peach and Cream with pink and gold accents is nice.

Sea foam Green and Cream or Off White is nice and you can add darker Green, Mauve or Pink for accents.

Blues create a "cooler" atmosphere, but can be warmed up with other accent colors.

Earth tones can be nice, especially when you add some "color" accents and maybe some gold as an accent too.

I have even seen a bathroom that was done in Silver, White and Black..it was interesting, but felt a little "Space Age" too me. It was very attractive though.

I have also seen a bathroom done in Gold and Cream, with just the tiniest bit of pink and mauve added for accents. It was very classy and "rich" looking.

My suggestion would be to get a lot of paint samples that you like and then put them together in different combinations until you find the colors that feel good to you. Good Luck and Have Fun! =-)

peach.very relaxing and warming when you are having a bubble bath .
white or off white
It's entirely dependent on your tastes. I have a sort of oxblood and burgundy color theme with tans to offset the intensity of the reddish colors. It is appealing to me.

However, classic whites are good. Not true white, but off white or cream colors. Watch some home renovation/decorating shows for ideas. Get some magazines or just browse pics on line until you see a color scheme you like.

Just stay away from yellows and browns. ;)

White
not White!!
If you have a small bathroom, you want to stay away from dark colors that can make it appear smaller.

Off-whites, neutrals, and pastels keep the space brighter and more open. Consider mirroring one wall to give it a larger appearance.
Want to be a little creative, then use neutral colors of pink and peech, they match very well. And gives your mind and eyes a very pleasant soothing, and calming effect.
for a relaxing bathroom go with soft creams and sage
for a coastal look blue, white and turq greens and blues
for a warm exotic feel all shades of browns and deep reds
for a cool casual feeling keep it simple with white ,black and gray
Brown and yellow and yellowish brown hide splatter quite well.
