Porcelain or Ceramic Tile?

As far as superiority goes, it really depends. In various ways, porcelain is the better choice for anywhere there is going to be moisture, similar to a kitchen. Porcelain is literally impervious to moisture - it's moisture absorption rate is smaller number than 0.5% of the weight of respectively tile. That's why it's used in bathrooms and laundry areas to such a great scope. In addition to one moisture proof, they are far less potential to be stained from spills. This could be a compelling reason to choose them for a kitchen installation. Also, you can buy a matte finish porcelain as unwilling a polished tile (which is a good notion if you want to ensure slip-resistance) in as several colors as standard ceramic tile.
You can any choose a full-body porcelain tile, or glazed porcelain. Full-body porcelain means that the color of the tile runs adjectives the way through. Glazed routine that the color is on the surface only. There are some price gap here which you may want to explore further with your wholesaler.
One thing to maintain in mind is that porcelain is amazingly, very frozen. This is great for long-term durability. But, it means that the tiles are a bit more stimulating to cut. With the right equipment (and experience) this is not a huge hurdle, but it's something to keep contained by mind.
Another thing to hold in mind is the PEI rating of your chosen tile. This rating is guide to follow as far as how durable the tile is relative to how much traffic it is credible to see. I've attached a link to an article which shows what respectively rating means. Generally speaking for a kitchen installation, a PEI3 rating is pretty locked. Ask your seller around ratings and choose accordingly.
PS - although hardwood surrounded by kitchens is a popular choice, it can be risky to lay hardwood floors in an nouns which is common for spills. Keeping hardwood flooring away from moisture is important to the success of keeping them looking as accurate as they do when they're first installed. So, if you do decide to shift with hardwood, be prepared to be extra vigilant when it comes to taking vigilance of them.

porcelain is much harder than ceramic and as a consequence more durable. i have done frequent hardwood floors in kitchens and baths but disaster is freshly one leak away!
