How can I organize my scarves, belts, and purses?

I'm not sure what your room is like but, I have many designer purses and shoes. My husband built me a cool shoe closest so that's not an issue now. With my purses, I took 7 huge wall hooks. Big ones from the hardware store. You can get them in silver or gold colors. Some places will even match your walls in the color you want. Anyway, I used one of my bedroom walls and very decoratively hung the hooks in an un-uniform manner. In other words, one hook up, the other placed a few feet lower, the next one up high (enough to reach of course). I placed all my Louis V.'s on one hook, my D.Bourke's on another, still Coach purses on another. Imagine it first. When one walks into the room it almost looks like art on the wall. AND, it's super easy to change purses, match ones with outfits etc. Just hang it back up and take another one down. Before you think this is a crazy idea.....I got the idea from HOME magazine, their bath, bedroom and closet edition. (For your scarfs, just use the same idea but buy "rings" not hooks. You know the rings you see towels hanging on in bathrooms? Those. They also come in many colors, metals, or wood.

You could try those net bags that are used for putting delicate items into washing machines. They zip up so it would be possible to keep the different types seperate.

i use multi hook coat racks. theres 3 in my closet on the wall.
Why don't you store them all in one of your handbags and hang that somewhere?
My friend has all her handbags hanging on her bedpost. Looks fine to me.
