As a rule of thumb, a geothermal warmth pump system costs about $2,500 per ton of dimensions. The typically sized home would use a three-ton unit costing roughly $7,500. That initial cost is nearly twice the price of a regular bake pump system that would probably cost about $4,000, next to air conditioning.

I don't have geothermal but i am an electrician and own hooked up a few. I have hear through the people installing them that they are 300% modernized so they are well worth the money you spend to install. If you live surrounded by a very cold place it probably wouldn't be worth it though because they own electrical heating elements that turn on if the geothermal can't produce thaw out enough nouns, and electric heating elements can jack up your electric utility bill pretty spur-of-the-moment . If you are considering installing geothermal i would talk to some heat and air companies around your nouns and listen to their suggestions, i'm from Kansas and they work great here.
