Whats a great store for decorating a girls bed room?

The rooms theme is pink and purple and it is a teenagers room. I need advise on how to decorate it and what store i should go to!

Try a "shabby chic" theme using those colors. If you have not already painted the walls, use those as accent colors in pillows, throws, curtains and paint the walls a light lavendar, with white trim to keep it light and airy.

Hit yard sales and flea markets for great deals. Then simply spray paint the pIEces, ie: wicker rocking chair, in white. After dry, lightly sand to give it the aged look. Then pile it high with pillows in pink and purple, maybe even some "funky" purple throw pillows. Use this same technique on mirrors, dressers, etc.

Shabby chic is funky yet feminine, and very easy and inexpensive to achieve.

You have a couple of options.. The one with the most would be bed bath and beyond. Then wal-mart, target, mervyn's, macys.. Etc..

For a pink and purple teenage room, go funky fabulous! Use furs, metallics,dots, stripes,and other crazy shapes. I like taking lamps and put on fun textured yarns,beads,paint and have a great lamp. You can go more industrial/modern with the pink/purp and use silver for shelves,headboard, make a desk &/or shelves from plumbers metal or PVC pipes to fit your area and style and then spraypaint silver.This will be much more streamlined and the funky will be more fru-fru! You can use lots of lace and make a headboard drape that hangs from the ceiling and dust ruffle and pillow shams to match.Ribbons and flowers would be great accents with the lace. You could also mix the funky fur with the lace for a mixed look for a teens mixed moods.Add glass squares w/glue to a painted chest (silve or white or purple)or night stand for a little more glamour!
