Has anyone have luck staining street light pergo floors beside a brown stain?

pergo flooring like adjectives laminate flooring has a fibreglass finish so it would be impossible to stain any of them. the stain would not stick to it you would own a huge mess and on top of that you would enjoy to put a new finish on it. the one and only thing that you could do is remove the existing floor and put down one to be exact the colour you want.
Pergo is very similar to Formica, but near a thicker wear layer. Brian have it right, it won't work
