Will my plates look ok near my table?

I have white china beside a platinum band http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in... I am looking for a dining room table and am finding myself drawn to white. Do you chew over that the white china and table would clash? I am not a big fan of tablecloth and especially not placemats. Thanks for your help.

Answers:    I focus the white table and china would be too much - really boring. Unless... you are going for the french provincial style and you added a pretty pastle centrepiece and an overhanging white chandelier... I guess even better than a white table would be one stained in "Japanese Black". It is a type of wood stain - really cloudy and delicious and would look so apposite with the white and platinum - you could core the table with a really good-looking single orchid in a white dish or a cavernous red bowl with white stones and a funky cactus.
plates are nice,,you dont want too much white,,a wooden dining table would be in motion well next to them, like a stained pine colour.
They won't clash, but your plates won't look apposite on it, either. All white, silver band. That's an awful lot of white and your plates won't stand out enough to take home a nice difference when you set a table.
It would look very nice.

You could put gold ingots chargers under your plates for a thoroughly elegant look.

I don't similar to tablecloths, any.

I sincerely hope this helps.

I estimate with plates approaching yours, you could purchase some pewter "chargers" that would keep the focus on your china accentuate it for the evening or event.

If you keep the focus on the wonderful china and perhaps a corresponding centerpiece, you will not want to focus on the table or other decor. I understand and agree near you on placemats and often just about the table cloths. But maybe an attractive or posished pewter table runner going down the table. Something to enhance the china and the pewter band.

By the process, a nice choice on the china--you can use it for any occasion.
