I would like to change my curtains, any suggestions???

My living room is painted white, the chairs are blue/black, the wooden furniture are light brown. I would like a colour that will blend well for my choice of curtain.

Answers:
I would say go for different shades of creamcolor. Blue is also nice, darker rather then lighter blue. And Carmine red, that goes wel with al you mentioned. Some curtain shops have sample fabrics, ask if you can have them to have a try out, some of them even have them to give away. That way you might really get a chance to see it for yourself. If your carpet or floor is dark try a light shade of curtain, if it is a bright color you can go for a darker color curtain. If you have dark floor and dark curtain it wil be really dark and the wall will come out flashing since it is white. Don't take a to heavy fabric for your curtains and no shiny ones either like silky. Rather more cotton like.
I hope this helps out. Good luck.

Other answers:
just make sure the drapes match the carpet.
just make sure the drapes match the carpet.
put up some meat curtains
Something light and spring like. Blue and white sound good.
how about a heavy deep blue velvet?? with white or cream shears underneath? martha stewart, regardless of how i think of her, she has alot of nice curtains and shears. go look in kmart and walmart, see what you can find. there's alot of decent things there, and they don't cost hundreds of $$$$.
good luck.
wooden shades I like..
a deep red, like mahogany
I recommend light colored wood blinds and a blue valance
make sure it matches the room
Try a pattern. Something that has all the colors that your room has. If you can't find one all ready made look for the material and go get them done.
you could go with a biege color or something in that category
I would go for a light version of the blue in the furniture. Or you could go for simplicity and have your curtains white like the walls if you don't want them to pop out.
Anything blue, i guess. or you can just add color by picking basically any color. just go to the fabric store and see if you like anything. to make curtains all you have to do is cut the size you want, then hang.
White, or pale yellow to add a third color to the room, with an emroidered pattern that is denser on the bottom and/or top. The embroidery thread can be in shades of blues, greys and or browns that complement what's already in your living room. I'm thinking something like in the images of the links below... not those colors necessarily, but they styles...

A pattern on the curtains would be especially nice if you don't have any sort of pattern going on elsewhere in the room (like highly patterned pillows or a rug, etc.).

Check out the curtains at Bombay.com (the last link below)... they have some nifty stuff there.

Good luck.
