In yesteryear couple of years, I've received lots of different vase as gifts...?

However, I don't know how to differentiate between the ones that are crystal and the ones that are glass.... How do I find out?

Thanks contained by advance

Answers:    I'm not sure something like this, but I think I hear once that if you gently hit the vase beside a fork, it will have a longer ring if it's crystal and lately "clink" if it's glass.
You can do the classic and simple silverware method. Hold up the jug and lightly stroke the side with a piece of silverware, a crystal jug (glass or whatever) will make a vibrate sound. A cup will only construct a noise.

Or you could insubstantially wet the tip of your fingers and run them along the ring of the jug. It will "sing".

Of course you could also drop it, crystal would shatter (glass would only "break" if it did anything at all) but I am sure you wouldn't want to do that..lol ;)
if its a earnest crystal if you check the bottom of the vase it will be engraved.
