I want to try my hand at making my own curtains. Are there any easy "firstimer" patterns you would recommend?

Answers:
I agree that you don't need a pattern. I'd suggest checking out a book from the library. I'm adding a link to a helpful book that I own.

Most home decoratng sewing books will give you the steps needed to create curtains. It's a great first-timer project. Keep in mind, the most important thing in making curtains is accurate measuring.

Good luck!

Easier than a pattern. Curtains do not have to have pleats or hooks. Just take some cloth and hem all the edges. Take small rectangles of some of the same cloth and hem its edges. Sew, doubled over, to one edge of the larger piece as loops. A curtain.
lol... this question brings back so many memories of my granddad..... he used to buy twin flat sheets at yard sales and we would make curtains out of them by opening the trim... had some pretty interesting curtains.... my son now has a Sponge Bob curtain made the same way!
