Check your home insurance, they replaced my carpet when my kid spilt a tin of gloss on it.
If it's still wet cover and rub in swafega gell then wash out i don't know if i have spelt it right
Personally I would try turps in a small area, if thats OK try the rest, if the paint is just on the surface you may even be able to "shave" it from the surface with a Stanley knife blade, if its deeper there are some specialists in yellow pages
Let it dry completely, put ice in a bag and lay it over paint mark until its very very cold(almost frozen) you shuld now be able to gently scrape off the paint, and if any residue is left, repeat process,alternatively use meths or white spirit, but take care as using this spreads the paint into a larger area.Then wash gently with soap and water
IT DEPENDS WHETHER IT IS WATER OR SOLVENT BASED.IT ALSO DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF CARPET YOU HAVE (ie) wool, wool-mix or synthetic.I WOULD ADVICE YOU LEAVE IT AND PHONE A CARPET CLEANER ASAP.IF YOU SCRUB AT IT OR APPLY OTHER THINGS IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE.
If it's a small area then try a gel type hand cleaner like Gojo. Squeeze some on a rag and wipe it over the affected area and let it sit for awhile. Then rub it with a soft brush then a damp sponge.
