Anyone know how I can clean my yellowed plastic door trim without having to paint it?

Answers:
There is no product this should of been painted before the painter knew this it always yellows the only thing you can do is prime with an oil pigmented primer (kitz interior only) exterior it will mildew fast and bad if you are talking interior and exterior there are paints for that but make sure its a stain blocker two coats than paint.*

I have a storm door with plastic around the window. If this is what you have, forget it. The yellow is there forever unless you paint it. I tried clorox clean up, Formula 409, etc. and I am convinced that the sun and heat has cooked my plastic. I am planning to try Greased Lightening. Unfortunately, it looks as though both you and I are in for a point job. My husband says I make to much mess and he hates to paint. So, there it is (for the last 5 years). I hope you have better luck.

there are a few things you could try ive worked in a bodyshop for four years now!in the trade we use a polishing compound supplied by farecla called G3 we use it to take a small layer of paint off!im not sure if it will work but the principle will be the same ,over time the sun oxidises the surface which will dull or yellow the colour the polishing compounds remove the surface layer leaving the fresh unoxidised surface!if this doesnt work try using some sort of solvent like petrol!hope that helps you
Mr. Clean solution works for me.
Don't use bleach or Clorox 2 it will only yellow it further. I would use 409 and then maybe Oxyclean.
